When Katie and Nick said that they wanted to do their engagement session in a brewery I got so excited! I love non-traditional locations and sessions. Nick used to work for Bagby Brewery in Oceanside and they both love spending lazy weekend days there sipping on their original craft brews and enjoy the warm Oceanside sunsets. It was a perfect location for their photos. We had a blast wandering around the brewery and (of course) having a couple drinks. After we headed down to the Oceanside pier and ended our afternoon with the most stunning sunset. If their engagement session was this fun, I cannot wait for their wedding later this year!!
Dana and Amy flew from San Fran to San Diego just to get eloped. San Diego city hall is of the only only ones that has an outdoor area to get married at. Unfortunately, it was raining... The sun can out right before they were about to start their ceremony and despite begging and pleading to use the outdoor space, they wouldn't let us. They still had a heartfelt and romantic ceremony in city hall. After, we walked around downtown and headed to the train station for some fun, vintage photos. Amy's bouquet was made entirely of antique broaches, pins and earrings, she wore her mothers slip from the 60's and white searsucker dress with pearl buttons. Dana had a custom made suit that was something that Don Drapper would be envious of, along with a boutonniere made of vintage pins, and custom embroidered argyle socks with their wedding day on them.
The whole felt like an episode of Mad Men and was absolutely perfect.
