When your baby asks for a Moana 4th birthday you go all out! I gave her the full Moana treatment! She loved walking along the beach as Moana and having everyone say "AAWWW!" over her.
I can't believe that she is 4 already. I still call her baby and it feels like just yesterday that she was a little butter ball toddling around after L. She has so much imagination and creative spirit. She loves ballet, playing dress up, dolls, and anything princess. Watching this baby girl grow is so much fun! She makes me laugh so much everyday. She makes up cute little stories and dances all the time and is the spirit of our family. I love everyday with my Bunny Lou Lou!
I had the honor of photographing my husbands cousins maternity session, These two live a block from the beach, he shapes surf boards for a living and they spend most of their free time at the beach. Naturally a beach maternity session was perfect for them, June gloom was in full effect this day. Though the San Clemente Pier was caked in fog and it was like 60 degrees, their excitement to be first time parents made them glow like the suns rays. Allison was a totally natural in front of the camera. She worked the baby belly like a pro.
Just a week after we took these, their baby girl was born. She is absolutely gorgeous just like her Mommy.
Bailey and Erin have been together for 6 years. They are high school sweethearts who met through a family friend. They have spent their entire relationship living in 2 different states. Once they graduated high school, she went away to college and he joined the military. While she was out in California visiting him, they decide to do a romantic and fun couples session in Laguna Beach. The beach was definitely a nice change of pace for Bailey, who is stationed in hot dessert 29 Palms. Seeing these two together and so strong as a couple was so inspiring, Their love and compassion for one another is deeper than some couples who live in the same city and see each other everyday.
Mick and Anthony met at work. Although, their work is a bit more intense than most. They are both cops. So naturally, Mick, wore a gorgeous gown, beautiful jewelry, cathedral length veil and had a tiny little gun strapped to her ankle. She was given away by her mother who cried and said the most touching speech, while he was given given away by his two sons.
Their wedding was short and sweet yet full of love and laughter.
After we met their sweet pups down on the beach behind the Dana Point Ocean Institute for some family photos and some gorgeous bridals! The wind was crazy but, these two were like super models out there on the rocks.
They had an intimate reception in their backyard, dinned on bbq and laughed the night away.
This spring here in California has been breathtaking. Thanks to more rainfall than usual we have flowers blooming everywhere! I have been taking L&B to see the wonders of spring as often as I can.

Andrew and Kira's boho Joshua Tree elopement was a dream come true. We started at the historic 29 Palms Inn for some photos and ten drove into Hidden Valley for their hidden nuptials. Tucked between some of Joshua Tree's famous rocks, they said their I do's. After we explored Hidden Valley while taking photos. As sun set they headed back to the 29 Palms Inn for their wedding night. The spent their honeymoon hiking Joshua Tree and exploring Palm Dessert.

Brinley's Winter "One"derland was a 1st birthday party unlike any other. From beautiful linens, a hot cocoa bar, lace teepees, snowflake martinis for the adults and actual snow, this soiree was gorgeous down to the last detail. The kids got their faces painted, had fresh spun cotton candy and ate the most delectable pastries and treats. Brinely is definitely one lucky little girl.

When Katie and Nick said that they wanted to do their engagement session in a brewery I got so excited! I love non-traditional locations and sessions. Nick used to work for Bagby Brewery in Oceanside and they both love spending lazy weekend days there sipping on their original craft brews and enjoy the warm Oceanside sunsets. It was a perfect location for their photos. We had a blast wandering around the brewery and (of course) having a couple drinks. After we headed down to the Oceanside pier and ended our afternoon with the most stunning sunset. If their engagement session was this fun, I cannot wait for their wedding later this year!!
Dana and Amy flew from San Fran to San Diego just to get eloped. San Diego city hall is of the only only ones that has an outdoor area to get married at. Unfortunately, it was raining... The sun can out right before they were about to start their ceremony and despite begging and pleading to use the outdoor space, they wouldn't let us. They still had a heartfelt and romantic ceremony in city hall. After, we walked around downtown and headed to the train station for some fun, vintage photos. Amy's bouquet was made entirely of antique broaches, pins and earrings, she wore her mothers slip from the 60's and white searsucker dress with pearl buttons. Dana had a custom made suit that was something that Don Drapper would be envious of, along with a boutonniere made of vintage pins, and custom embroidered argyle socks with their wedding day on them.
The whole felt like an episode of Mad Men and was absolutely perfect.
